Anatomy of a Mulebuy link
A Mulebuy product link is an address on mulebuy.com with a few parameters after a question mark. The two that matter are the item number, written as id= followed by digits, and the platform, written as platform= (or shop_type= in some versions) followed by WEIDIAN, TAOBAO or 1688. Anything else, such as a referral code, only told Mulebuy who sent you.

With the number and platform, you can rebuild the original listing: a Weidian item becomes weidian.com/item.html?itemID= plus the number, a Taobao item becomes item.taobao.com/item.htm?id= plus the number, and a 1688 item becomes detail.1688.com/offer/ plus the number. That is all the link converter does, for up to 200 links at once.
The item number plus the platform is the whole value of a Mulebuy link.
Short links, shared links and why some fail
Links shared on TikTok, Telegram and Discord are often shortened or wrapped in a creator's own redirect. Those do not contain the item number until you open them. Open the link once in a browser, let it land on the product page, and copy the long address from the address bar; that one converts. A link that points at a seller's shop rather than one product cannot be converted to a single item; open the shop and pick the product.
Since August 2026 there is a second reason a Mulebuy link can fail: Mulebuy's own site may not load the product properly. Converting the link tells you whether the listing still exists at source. If the original listing opens, the problem was Mulebuy; if it does not, the seller removed it.

What Mulebuy finds people saved most
Looking at what people searched alongside Mulebuy in Italy, the US and France, the categories are the usual ones for agent buyers: trainers and shoes, hoodies and tracksuits, jackets, football shirts, jeans, bags and small accessories. Italian buyers in particular searched "mulebuy link" and "mulebuy finds" in large numbers, which reflects how much of Mulebuy's audience shopped from shared lists rather than searching marketplaces themselves.

Links from other agents in a Mulebuy sheet
Many Mulebuy spreadsheets were converted from older sheets, so a single sheet can hold links from Pandabuy, CNFans, Wegobuy and raw Weidian addresses side by side. That is not a problem: the converter recognises each format and returns the same clean result. Kakobuy and Superbuy links carry the full marketplace address inside a url= parameter, CSSBuy writes the number into the path, and Hoobuy uses a numbered path where 1 means Taobao and 2 means Weidian. Paste the mixed column as it is.
One format that causes trouble is the encrypted or shortened link some creators used to protect their referral codes. These cannot be decoded offline; open each one in a browser first. If a creator only ever shared encrypted links, their newer sheets on another agent are often easier to use than converting the old ones one by one.
If you keep your list in Google Sheets, you can also pull the item number out with a formula once you know the pattern, for example by extracting the digits after id=. The converter is simply faster for most people and handles the platform word for you.

Keeping your links safe from the next closure
Every closure of the last two years, from Pandabuy to CNFans, broke the same thing: the agent wrapper. Keep a second column in your list with the clean marketplace link, a third with the seller or shop name, and a fourth with the size you chose.
